Belgium Singer/Songwriter Wayi has released her new single ‘Insecure’. The single will be following her EP ‘Love in Progress’ which is out on March 27th 2019.
Wayi is new to the music game launching her career last year. However her name has stayed on the lips of many. Her singles ‘The Way I Am‘ and ‘Temporary‘ sparked reviews from music legend Sir Elton John, Elle France, High Snobiety, Red Bull Elektropedia amongst many other prominent media outlets. After singing covers of many acts and studying their craft. Wayi began to put pen to paper and out of her stories and novels began songs about love. Which made up her debut EP ‘Love in Progress.’ Which is already available for pre-save here.
‘Insecure’ is a dreamy R&B track with Jazz influences written by the 25-year-old and produced/ arranged by James Lowland. Her distinct soulful voice instantly captures the ears of listeners as her poetic lyrics tell a story we are all too familiar with. A relationship filled with doubt, lack of trust and loyalty. In the relatable track Wayi repeatedly sings about the strain of being in a relationship where you feel the other party does not care about your feelings and has a side chick they are forever running back to.
