Beauty On A Student Budget

Beauty On A Student Budget

Calling all new and returning students! Managing to budget money can be a difficult task – we’ve all been there, student or non student. As we are all aware, beauty can begin to cost a fortune when you aren’t aware of cost effective solutions, hence why we’re here to help!

Accepting the ‘student life’ can be challenging, especially when it comes to compromise. The compromise of some luxury products and brands can be frustrating. However, we come up with some of our favourite drug store/cost friendly brands that deliver the same high quality.

This means that we can all enjoy some high quality products for a fraction of the price – more money to spend on books ( I’m sure you’re all doing that and not spending it on alcohol! ).

Okay so, first of all, lets begin with skin care…

The Ordinary are a science-driven skincare brand who deliver retinol products for a fraction of the price.

*The Ordinary products available from most online retailers*

The Ordinary products start from as little as £5, and include a foundation and primer range added to their collection. In terms of skin care, they have products designed for acne, anti-ageing, scarring, dullness, uneven skin tone, and much more!

You can shop the entire range from The Ordinary from many stores including Beauty Bay which can be accessed here.

The Ordinary aren’t the only drugstore skincare brands, there are others such as:

Simple Skincare
Rabot 1745

Moving onto beauty…

Barry M have been a consistent source of affordable beauty products over the years. Barry M have all beauty products ranging from primers to the finishing touches of highlighters and setting sprays.

Here at Amor even tried and tested their foundation which was even approved by makeup mogul Jeffree Star – which we loved! You can read all about it here.

All of their products are affordable and the average price per item is around £5/6. Their products are available in drugstores such as Boots and Superdrug, but they can also be purchased from their own website

There are hundreds of other makeup drug store brands that have reviewed well such as:

ELF Cosmetics
NYX Cosmetics
