I recently took upon the fun task of recreating a celebrity make up look using all products from Beauty Base. Beauty Base is an online retailer for all beauty related items such as make-up, skincare, haircare, perfume and much more.
The look I chose to recreate was from Instagram make-up guru James Charles.
I ordered the following items to complete a celeb-inspired look from Beauty Base:
- W7 Dusk till Dawn eyeshadow palette
- W7 Glowcomotion shimmer highlighter
- W7 Colour me buff eyeshadow palette
- LA Girl Pro Matte foundation (Shade – Bisque)
- LA Girl Pro Matte concealer (Shade – Porcelain)
- LA Girl Pro setting powder
- W7 Princess Potion complexion booster primer
- W7 Prime magic face primer
- LA Girl mascara Double D
I began my routine using the W7 Prime magic face primer on the skin to set the face ready for foundation. I also used the W7 Princess Potion complexion boost primer under my eyes and around my nose to enhance a smoother complexion when the foundation is applied as my skin has a lot of redness in those areas.
I then took a damp beauty blender and applied the LA Girl Pro Matte foundation in the shade ‘Bisque’ and then used the same beauty blender to apply the LA Girl Pro Matte concealer in the shade ‘Porcelain’ underneath my eyes, under the cheekbones and on my nose and forehead. I then used the LA Girl Pro setting powder to set the concealer in place and to avoid any creasing or oily spots from occurring.
As I did not purchase a brow pencil or set I used the W7 Colour me buff and used the brown shades to create the eyebrows. I also used the lighter brown, matte shades in this palette as a contour substitute by applying and blending them on the bridge of my nose, my cheekbones and my forehead.
I then used a mixture of the W7 Colour me buss and the W7 Dusk till dawn palettes to create the eye look. I incorporated the W7 Glowcomotion shimmer highlighter in the inner corners of my eyes, underneath my brow bone and on my cupid’s bow to create a bright and feature enhancing look. I also placed the Glowcomotion highlighter on my cheekbones, whilst using a setting spray to enhance the pigment and make it stand out more. Finally, I added the LA Girl Double D mascara underneath my eyes to add definition and make my eyes appear larger.
