The Must Read:  The Amateurs

Released at the end of 2016, ‘The Amateurs’ is the latest mystery/thriller to be published by non-other than the creator of the well-loved teen drama Pretty Little Liars, Sara Shepard.  When a group of real crime addicts travel to Connecticut to solve one of the country’s most chilling murders of a high school senior, the killer is determined to protect himself.  When eighteen-year-old Seneca Frazier arrives in town she soon realises things aren’t quite as they seem and are about to get complicated as the killer is watching their every move. If you loved the show this definitely a must read.

The Must Watch: The Santa Clarita Diet

Santa Clarita Diet

We told you it was coming and boy is it good. Drew Barrymore is back on our screens as a fun loving wife and retailer, turned blood-thirsty zombie in this light-hearted American horror comedy. As her husband, Timothy Olyphant, and daughter, Liv Hewson, adjust to a life filled with flesh and chewed up fingers, they begin their quest to find a cure. But how long until the neighbourhood realise there’s a zombie living next door? Perfect for those who love a good laugh without the typical comic set-ups and stunts, The Santa Clarita Diet is an easy watch which already has us waiting for Season 2!  Catch the latest episode over on Netflix

The Must See: Split

It’s weird, wicked and well worth the crazy price of a cinema ticket these days. In this disturbing psychological thriller, James McAvoy plays the role of a young man called Kevin who suffers with a severe identity disorder. Despite seeking help from his doctor, trying to control 23 very different personalities isn’t easy and it’s only a matter of time before Kevin falls into a very dark place. After kidnapping three school girls, the countdown begins until the ‘might beast’ arrives. Filled with plot twists and creepy chills, this film is deemed as the creator of the The Village, M Night Shyamalan greatest film yet. McAvoy is a true talent and his performance alone is well worth seeing. And no, this is not Kendall Jenner’s movie debut – go see it and you’ll see what I mean. Out in cinemas now!
