The 9th Floor Review – Thailand Special

The 9th Floor

Address: 47 Rat-U-Thid Rd. Sky Inn Condotel, Phuket, Thailand
the9thfloor.com
Cuisine: Mediterranean

FOOD:

On our visit to The 9th Floor, we tried their Degustation menu, which is a 4-course food and wine pairing menu picked by the chef and Sommelier.

Balik cut salmon

We tasted both their seafood and meat menu and our favourites were the the beef tenderloin with foie gras from the meat menu, and the prosciutto wrapped grilled scallops from the seafood. Both of these dishes were cooked to perfection and were complimented nicely by the wine pairing.
The Degustation menu is a great choice if you want to try a range of things on their menu and have a wine to match each course.

Seared duck breast

OVERALL:

In the lift ride up to The 9th Floor, you’ll be quite perplexed as to where you’re headed. As soon as you step out of the lift onto The 9th Floor, you’d think you were in a completely different place. The settings of The 9th Floor are cool, sophisticated and offer great views.

We sat at a corner table at the back, which made our experience more intimate. Between the menu and the service, we couldn’t fault our experience at The 9th Floor. “The Angels” (as they call the waitresses), were smiley and willing to offer assistance. Being that the menu is more Mediterranean, the waitresses added back the element of being in Thailand. Bart, the owner, was a great host also, explaining the menus and the concept behind the restaurant.

If you’re visiting Phuket soon, then The 9th Floor is worth a visit, for a taste of the best produce and a nice relaxed evening out, topped with a view of Patong!

Ideal for: Fine dining

Overall Rating ★★★★
