Last weekend saw the Ariana Grande benefit concert for the Manchester Arena attack victims which took place on May 22nd. The concert which took place at The Old Trafford cricket in Manchester was a star-studded event which saw Ariana along with many other artists performing for a crowd of 50,000 in aid of the Manchester victims and raising money for the We Love Manchester emergency fund.
Artists at the event included Justin Bieber, Imogen Heap, Take That, Coldplay, Little Mix, Pharell, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, The Black Eyed Peas, Niall Horren and many more. They all came out to support Ariana and show their love for Manchester.
Ariana really brought a great show to the crowd of 50,000 performing some of her usual songs as well as a special tribute of Somewhere Over the Rainbow and My Everything with Parrs Wood High School Choir and Where is the Love with the Black Eyed Peas and the song of the night One Last Time.
Throughout the night there were positive messages of love and hope shared with the audience. Other key performances for me included Imogen Heap’s Hide and Seek, Take That’s Rule the World, Little Mix Wings, Coldplay Fix You.
It was great to see so many people and so many artists coming out to support and show their love for Manchester and in total the event raised £10m including ticket sales and donations.
