Nike expands its plus size range for women by tackling bigger sizes. For now on women of all sizes can work out in style wearing the prestigious logo.
The latest active wear collection is perfect for women who are sizes XL to 3XL. The sports range offers over 200 products and includes leggings, t-shirts, sports bras, shorts and jackets that are suitable for working out in the gym. The sports bra will go up to size 38E and the products are available in a range of colours.
Nike’s recent venture has caused a stir amongst the people, as there has been some backlash on social media. Some people have mentioned their dismay on Twitter by accusing the new clothing line of promoting obesity and an unhealthy lifestyle. Whereas, supporters have praised the sports brand of giving more options in gym clothing and boosting the confidence of plus size women.

Nike is not the only brand to undertake plus size clothing. A few plus size models showed up on the runway during the showcase of the Spring/Summer 2017 collections, as Christian Siriano featured five plus size models to flaunt his designs and Chromat displayed its collection for curvy women on the runway. Also, the online styling site ‘Stitch Fix’ has also revealed a plus size clothing collection.
