It’s that time of year again, when Ant and Dec stand on a bridge and scream those mighty words “I’m A Celebrity Get me Outta Here.” This year sees 12 new campmates head into the Australian jungle.
10 campmates are already in their getting settled with the first bush tucker trial out of the way. So, let’s have a look at who we’ve got to enjoy on the telly for the next three weeks. This does contain spoilers from the first two shows.
Regarded as one of the best female comedians, Khorsandi has performed world wide and uses her political knowledge to write her material. So far, we have seen her jump out of a plane, despite having a major panic and let off the wrong flare and land herself meal-less. She has yet to show her true colours but I’m sure she is one to watch.
Those who aren’t a fan of football will be forgiven for being a bit clueless on this one. Wise was the captain of Chelsea and went onto play for England and manage at Millwall and Leeds United. He has been signed to try and bring a laddish character to the camp but we haven’t seen that quite yet – it is early stages guys – he does seem to have a cheeky grin and I’m sure that’ll play to his strengths later.
Corrie favourite McAlpine, is bringing her northern charm to the jungle. McAlpine seems to have taken on a motherly role, being confident and happy in the jungle and welcoming everyone. We saw her face a great height before even entering the jungle and she made it looks almost – almost – easy.
So far, this boxer seems to be packing far less than a punch (I couldn’t resist). Entering the jungle he claimed he’d never seen the show and be it true or not, he clearly underestimated what he was in for.
Undertaking the first task he was quick to call those mighty words and got himself out of there. It’s fair to say his campmates weren’t happy. He is facing another bush tucker challenge this evening so we shall see if he manages it.
This years WAG goes to Leicester City player’s wife, Rebekah. So far we haven’t seen much of her. However, don’t let this fool you, she isn’t afraid to be outspoken and has proven that in her introduction videos.
With the world of blogging being so big, it’s no surprise this year sees a Vlogger going into the jungle. Maynard has thousands of followers who will all be eagerly tuning in to see a lot more of him.
So far we’ve seen a few flirtatious moments between him and Georgia, there could be a spark there perhaps. Romance aside, he seems to be bringing a young and smiley attitude to the jungle.
This year’s hunk is found in Jamie Lomas. The Hollyoaks star has brought the boys together and played a strong role. We did see a hint of him getting frustrated when Amir returned to camp after quitting the trial and being mealless.
Tof – as she’s known to friends and fans – has by far been the biggest bombshell to hit the jungle, she’s got beauty and brains and she’s from Made in Chelsea. She has to be a slight favourite of mine, after staying strong through the first challenge and being polite to everyone she’s making herself known for all the right reasons.
The quite one. Vanessa, ex-Saturdays singer, has yet to make a name for herself. We saw her climb a plank incredibly high up and while she did struggle, we can’t exactly be surprised. Who wants to walk a plank over 100-meters in the air.
Boris Johnsons dad, Stanley is bringing the granddad comedy to the show. While arguably he maybe one of the less famous celebs he is bringing age and wisdom to the jungle. We have yet to see him make a impact, but he sure is bringing comedy and style to the camp.
