10 relaxing tips we should all be following

Do you struggle to unwind at the end of the day? Never feel like you are truly relaxed? Follow our top tips for the ultimate guide on how to relax and unwind . . .

1. Have an early night
Try and have at least one early night during the week. Have a relaxing shower, pull on some fresh PJ’s and climb into bed with a good book or magazine.

2. Spend time Reading
Be it the latest bestseller or this month’s copy of Cosmo – curl up on the sofa and enjoy just spending some time reading, and maybe a little napping also!

3. Have a Pamper Night
One of the best ways to relax and unwind is spend some time pampering yourself at home. Have a full-on pampering night with face mask, fake tanning and painting your nails for the ultimate in relaxation.

4. Spend time with your loved ones
Spending time with the special people in your life will always help to make you feel less stressed and allow you to relax.

5. Have a Girly Catch-Up
There is nothing better than having a good gossip and catch-up with friends to help unwind and relax – even better done over a glass of wine or two!

6. Let it all out
Sometime having a good old cry and getting all that pent-up stress and emotion out just makes everything feel so much better.

7. Be Grateful
When you’re feeling stressed and tired, try and remember all the amazing things you have in your life.

8. Get Moving!
Exercise is a known way of helping to relax and unwind the body, and the mind. It doesn’t have to be pounding the treadmill in the gym – grab your trainers and get outside in the fresh air.

9. Meditate
Take 10 minutes out of your day to just sit, contemplate and relax.

10. Set yourself some Goals
One of the best things to do when you’re feeling a bit down and stressed, is create some goals and plans. It could be personal ones or work related – but writing down some achievable goals can help to focus your mind.
